Alexandra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and a Master’s degree in Global Criminal Law from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Alongside her master’s degree, Alexandra successfully graduated from the Honours College program "Leadership: making a difference!", an interdisciplinary excellence program for dedicated students seeking to go beyond the confines of their degree.
Throughout her studies, Alexandra developed a strong interest in criminal law and human rights. She gained practical experience through internships and volunteered as a legal assistant at the Equality and Human Rights Action Center. An ERASMUS scholarship at Radboud University in the Netherlands expanded her passion for criminal law across national borders, prompting her to specialize in European criminal law.
Driven by a passion for legal research and writing, Alexandra actively contributed to the academic dialogue on European criminal law. She authored a paper for the Romanian criminal law journal "Penalmente Relevant," exploring the criminal investigations conducted by the European Public Prosecutor's Office in Romania. Additionally, she served as a national expert in a European research project, examining the implementation of the EPPO Regulation across Member States.
Currently she is advancing towards becoming a lawyer specialized in European criminal law, with a particular emphasis on offenses falling under the jurisdiction of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office.
